The Beta Mu Chapter of Chi Upsilon Sigma National Latin Sorority, Inc. was established on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at the University of Maryland, College Park as the Beta Mu Colony by two phenomenal  women, Jennifer Cruz and Raquel Flores-Juarbe. These women strived and succeeded to bring CUS to campus against all odds establishing the sorority's first chapter in the state of Maryland.



It was not until Saturday, November 17, 2012 with the addition of the Beta Line that the Beta Mu Colony became the Beta Mu Chapter.



The Beta Mu Chapter has, and will continue, to deviate from the norm, enhance the diversity on campus, and uphold Chi Upsilon Sigma and its traditions.
